But feel free to call me Haydn! I’m a certified Youth Worker, Dual Diagnosis Professional, and Trainer and Assessor with Autism and Tourette’s and founder of Spectrumite. Spectrumite is a mentorship and training provider that builds pathways and solutions for people with disability, focusing on empowerment, independence, and resilience.
I am also certified to build business training modules, specialising in providing businesses, employers, and community organisations with the tools to assist, empower and employ people with disability.
Spectrumite began with the idea of “What would I as a 33-year-old teach my 16-year-old self” That idea has expanded into a mentorship program dedicated to arming individuals with practical skills to conquer the challenges that stand between them and success in social interaction, education, and employment. Spectrumite does not provide a “One size fits all solution” Spectrumite assists individuals on the spectrum to create and develop their own solutions to meet their individual unique challenges and maximize and showcase their strengths.
Spectrumite exists to change the paradigm of service dependency and to provide struggling individuals on the spectrum with strengths-based peer mentoring designed “By one of you, for one of you.”
I run programs for an individual on the spectrum designed to improve their long-term outcomes in social interaction, tertiary education, and gainful employment. Currently, I am running PRISM, a five-session mentoring program dedicated to improving the employability prospects of participants in partnership with Job Prospects Blacktown.
