Haydn Payne on a Mission

Although awareness of the autism spectrum and disability has advanced rapidly, the development of training, assessments and treatments is limited. Many organisations provide cookie-cutter solutions and approaches for the unbelievably diverse community known as ‘disability’, and many further provide these solutions without regard to the unique aspects of most businesses.

Therefore, my mission is to transform this neglect. As a qualified TAE, I will design customised training modules for SMEs who wish to transform their businesses to become disability-friendly. For individuals, I wish to stand as a relatable peer-mentor for those with disability who come under my care, designing programs for you, as one of you.

How I Work

Haydn uses a strengths-based approach to empower those with neurodiverse conditions and autism spectrum disorders, to engage in community, employment, education, and daily life. Haydn is a certified trainer and assessor, dual diagnosis professional and youth worker with 33 years of lived experience of autism spectrum disorders. Haydn’s peer mentoring programs are designed and delivered with a person-centred approach to build functional resilience, independence and personal agency assisting those on the spectrum to identify, adapt and overcome their personal barriers.

Haydn is uniquely positioned to work with businesses that seek to hire or support employees living with autism spectrum disorders, neurodiverse conditions, and co-morbid disabilities, and provide training and connection to disability employment services, employers, and RTO’s

Flexible Learning Options

Every single person has different needs. To recognise this fact is especially crucial for those on the spectrum, neurodiverse or have disability. This is why learning options are kept flexible for the sake of comfort and best education.

Empowerment, Awareness, Advocate

Disability doesn't mean inability - and through conducting business and mentoring, I wish to stand as a testament and role model to advocate for that fact. Being different sometimes means we need different supports to succeed.
